The powerful 3.0-liter M TwinPower Turbo inline 6-cylinder engine in the BMW M4 Convertible delivers a blistering 425 hp on command.
Featuring bi-turbo, high-precision direct injection, Valvetronic and Double-VANOS technology, the engine is capable of a massive 406 lb-ft of torque over a broad rpm range—a near 40% increase over previous models.
The M Carbon Ceramic Brakes provide a powerful back up for an exhilarating driving experience. Braking power is applied precisely in all weather conditions due to the durability and strength of the lightweight carbon compound ceramic material. Additionally, the material boasts greater resistance to heat, significant reduction of rotating masses, exceptional resistance to wear, and an increased operating life as compared to conventional equivalents.
The electromechanical steering system in the new BMW M4 Coupe represents a new development from BMW M GmbH and is a critical component in the link between driver and car and offers the gifts of direct steering feeling and precise feedback. The integrated Servotronic function electronically adjusts the level of steering assistance according to the car’s speed, providing optimum steering characteristics at all speeds. The steering for the BMW M4 Coupe also offers the driver three settings as standard, which can be selected at the touch of a button. These settings (Comfort, Sport and Sport+) allow the level of steering assistance to be adapted to suit the situation at hand and the driver’s personal tastes..
BMW has gone above and beyond to reduce weight and improve performance in the all-new M4 Coupe. The innovative usage of lightweight yet extremely strong Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic (CFRP) in the roof, driveshaft, engine compartment strut brace, and even the lithium ion battery all help to achieve this goal. Additionally, aluminum hood and front wheel arches, and forged light alloy wheels provide a strong frame that also moves incredibly quickly. This commitment to function driven design results in reduction of up to 180 lbs. compared to its predecessor model, ultimately lowering the center of gravity and improving steering response and precision.

Enjoy outstanding, on-road performance and dynamic aesthetics with the hardtop up or down. This unique roof features a number of design improvements that reduce noise levels for a quieter, interior ambience, including a sound-absorbing headliner that lowers noise by up to 2 decibels.
Find ample trunk space even when the retractable hardtop is lowered, which makes the BMW M4 Convertible both functional and convenient. With the hardtop open, enjoy 7.8 cubic feet of space that increases to 13 cubic feet when the hardtop is closed. And with a one-touch loading assistance system that raises the roof unit to make loading and unloading simpler, it’s easier than ever to bring everything that you need along for the ride.
Bluetooth® Audio Streaming—available from BMW ConnectedDrive—wirelessly plays the music saved on your Bluetooth-capable smartphone or MP3 player.
As part of the Executive Package, the front seats of the BMW M4 Convertible can be equipped with three temperature neck warmers for both the driver and front passenger. When cruising with the hardtop down, both the heating output and air output of the neck warmers are operated independently of speed and temperature, via the convertible top switch in the center console.

LED technology is used exclusively for both high and low beams, as well as in all four Corona headlight rings. At speeds of up to 35 mph, LED cornering lights automatically light up the side of the road when turning. At faster speeds, the Adaptive Headlights feature automatically swivels the headlights to illuminate the road around bends, based on your steering wheel movements. LED lights are also used in the High Beam Assistant feature and in the turn signal indicators.
Displays video images of approaching traffic on the Control Display. Side-view cameras positioned in the front bumpers show traffic approaching the front of the vehicle from the sides, such as when exiting a garage. The Top-view camera provides video images of the road alongside the doors, taken by cameras positioned in the exterior mirrors.
